Proxy Update and More Features

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

We’re still working on our Proxy server implementation.  It is coming along nicely and will solve all of the connection issues some of you are having (about 20% of our users).  Once in place, you should be able to listen to music from any browser regardless of how many firewalls you have or how old your routers are. We’ll keep you updated as this is a hot feature for us to finish.  Other secret things are in the pipeline as well so stay tuned!

UPnP Fix

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

We had a bug that affected about 200 users, mostly Windows Vista users.   The PC Server detected the internal ip address as 127.0.0.1 instead of 192.168.x.x as it should of thus causing UPnP to fail for your router and ultimately the inability to access JukeFly from remote.  If you have a problem accessing your machine from remote, you could try upgrading to the latest version (1021).  You can check your version by hovering your mouse over the JukeFly icon in your system tray (looks like a pair of eyes from the Fly).

m3u support

Friday, March 7th, 2008

We just deployed support for importing playlists that are in the m3u format. This feature will create a playlist with your songs that are already synced to JukeFly. If the m3u contains songs you have not synced to JukeFly, a list of those will be shown after the import process so that you can then go to the profile tab and add those folders containing the songs that currently are not synced to your account. After you sync songs missing from your m3u, you can then go re-import the m3u again.

Please let us know if you have any issues and as always suggestions are welcome and encouraged :)
