Internet Radio, YouTube videos tab, Forum
Tuesday, June 10th, 2008We listen to a lot of Internet radio stations - so we thought wouldn’t it awesome if JukeFly could be a repository of all our favorite radio stations. A few weeks of implementation “fun”
later we have streaming radio support. The cool thing is we can use the existing infrastructure to pull up videos, lyrics, artist details etc. for songs playing on the radio - everything you do for your own music collection. Also, if you don’t see your favorite radio station in the pre-populated list - just add it yourself, as long as you know the URL to the playlist file (.pls or .m3u formats).
We have also added a video tab where you can search for music videos on YouTube. Changes to the album art algorithm has improved the retrieval of album art. More importantly, we now have the JukeFly Forum (you can get to it from the top right link) - where you can get answers to most of the issues you might come across while using JukeFly.
We are working on a bunch of new features geared towards hooking up JukeFly with rest of the social web. And the proxy is almost ready to be deployed - I know a lot of people have been waiting “on pins and needles” for that
Thanks for all your feedback and bug reports - we have been incorporating all these as we continue developing new features - so please continue letting us know what you think.
-Dinesh (hmmm which radio station do I listen to now :))
